In the meanwhile we are looking to book a series of shows in the US during 2009, and play in northern Europe during the period around Zappanale 20 (Mid August). if you have any ideas, drop us an EMAIL.
WHAT EEEEZZZ ZISS DOOT!?!?
DOOT! is an international collaborative arts organization. It grew out of a collaboration between Stephen Chillemi and Pete Brunelli, a pair of musicians from Connecticut. While playing in Captain Beefheart trib act Doctor Dark they started working on duo performance material, and generally began plotting to create musical havoc. Their strong affinity with free jazz and improvisation brought about a series of shows in the New Haven, Connecticut area, including double bills with Eugene Chadbourne. DOOT! has performed at the Zappanale festival both as DOOT! in 2006, and as the Anti Agressive Action Band event in 2008. A focus on collaborative performance has allowed the lineup of DOOT! to be flexible and open, including: Nate Trier on keyboards, melodica, and tape loops; Andre Cholmondeley on guitar, synths, vocals, and percussion; Killissa Cissoko on keys and sax; Jerry Outlaw on guitar and Alex Pasut on bass; Annemarieke Schoonderwaldt on violin; Mark Rafile on drums. DOOT! also supports like-minded organizations such as:
New Haven Improvisors Collective;
Firehouse 12;
Real Art Ways;
ARF Society;
Zappateers;
and the Buttonwood Tree.
Of course, we support any organization that respects the human element of musical performance!
